This is probably my last post.

I don't see much point sticking around and beating the same dead horse night after night. So I made my repy a new thread becase that what I think.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Don, you really need to get out more and maybe develope some new interests.

I've talked to McCarty and there is no reasoning with him.

It was bad enough when he survived the heart attack. After he beat cancer he said from now on he's on bonus time. He claims from that time forward eveything he did would be something interesting and worthwhile and when it no longer was interesting and worthwhile he's moving on to the next challange.

Tom dosen't care particularly care what you think, what his boss thinks, what his kids think, what his wife thinks, what Charlie thinks, what the council officers think, what the members think, well you get the picture. The only thing that is really important is if you think you're doing something that makes sense.

Now Tom's future at SPEEA is in the hands of the members, if they don't need him any more he is more than happy to move on and try something new and different. Tom says he will always be grateful for the chance to help that day we made history. He told me he cannot hardly believe he has a small footnote in history books on the labor movement.

I realize this is a strange concept for you to embrace but the truth is if you are not having fun it's your own fault. And don't tell me you're havig fun because any body that bitches as much as you do can hardly be enjoying anything unless it's just plain bitching that you enjoy.

Man, what was I thinking, duh, you do enjoy bitching. Nevermind.

Doesn't Care?

Queequeg, maybe you should ask Tom this question: If you really don't care about anything or anyone (like the membership for example), why are you still running for re-election?

Maybe Tom should resign as SPEEA Treasurer today and inform the Tellers committee to remove his name from the "new" ballot before they're printed and mailed.

Why should we re-elect someone who doesn't care and has stated he can't do the job? Let's hope the membership cares enough to vote Tom out of office.

I am running because I am committed to the welfare of Boeing employees and the success of Boeing.

My actions are not based on what people may think of me but what I think of me.

I have not quit in the past just because the path became a little difficult and I don’t intend to start quitting now.

Why should we re-elect someone who doesn't care and has stated he can't do the job? Let's hope the membership cares enough to vote Tom out of office.

I have stated that I can not do anything to my total satisfaction, I’m never as smart as I hope nor have as much time as I need. So I just do the best I can with what I have.

If the members will have me then I will continue to work on their behalf. I am still grateful I had a chance to help when I did.

I think Popeye summed it up best when he said “I yam what I yam” or more simply “What you see is what you get”

The hardest thing we have to do is self examination and in my own case the list of failings is long so I won’t bore you with the details. But on the plus side I have been called a good analyst and a resourceful thinker. Physics is my passion and music is my respite.

I don't understand "this is my last post" posts. Not criticizing Queequeg, but a bulletin board is only as interesting as we make it. You can have lots of discussion over topics but rarely do you see action. You might change somebody's mind but usually not people who post because they usually have their minds made up enough to post. The people you are trying to reach are the "lurkers". But this board will never get many "lurkers" unless we have more meaningful discussion.

But if you stop because some trolls upset you, then they win and they take over the bulletin board.

It seems to me that the only time this bulletin board gets going is when we have elections or negotiations for Puget Sound. I say, we just need to get talking about things and others might follow.

QQs problem is that he/she did not expect nor want any hard questions about toms platform statement that he got posted as a sticky at the very top. This is in keeping with the current incumbents to stifle any dissent or opposing opinion, and to continue to hide facts about the subversion of then e-board, the corruption of the staff, and Toms dont care attitude and financial malfeasance - meanwhile pulling every dirty trick in the book relative to use-misuse of company resources, speea publications, etc.

Its a technique as old as history. If one attempts to follow any of QQ posts on behalf of tom- every time a fact or document which cannot be supported or explained is brought up or posted - QQ ducks and goes into self serving flag waving mode. for example- When or IF will QQ 'ask' tom to post here or distribute ' toms' answer to the following e-mail - widely distributed regarding the salmon pink flyer with libelous statements against Mike Dunn- and improperly distributed ? My guess is neither QQ or Tom and his slate will disavow that flyer- however I do plan to start a thread which will tear apart that whole issue- piece by piece as a demonstration as to when and how it got started - and the absolute and direct violations of federal law- plus !

Mean while - take a look at to see what someone else discerned about that railroad job several years ago

Subject: RE: New ballots for Executive Board election - do not use the blue ballots

Dear Tom,

*******As one who has been the target of hateful and slanderous personal attack, I sympathize with your expression of concern that "the campaign has taken on a mean spirited character that is not normally seen." However, to make such a statement in the abstract---without any acknowledgements---leads to the inference that you are placing the blame on your opposition. But the accusation of "mean-spiritedness", whether direct or implied, is usually the first step in any mean-spirited campaign.

The second step is personal libel, as illustrated by the attached scan of a flyer that has been reported in circulation in Auburn, Renton, and Everett. Since a distribution of that scope requires coordination and collaboration, you will pardon me for thinking that your side in this campaign is not ignorant of this flyer. Is it too much to ask for you and your co-campaigners to identify and disavow this flyer at the earliest opportunity?

--Mike

I've been doing this for many years. I don't care if people post or not. I just provide a fourm and it's up to members to make it what they want of it. Don't let anyone run you away.

The best way to use these types of forums is to post your thoughts and ignore bating questions. Reply where you think necessary. Readers can tell good from bad, and wheat from chaff.

There is no sense in arguing with someone that will never see your point of view. So, your best bet is to reach as many "other" people with your views, and ignore those that just want to argue.

FWIW

sat eve 830 pm

1) QQ's problem is most likely a severe case of foot in mouth disease on the foot he didn't shoot .

2) Being unable to back up his assertions - he has decided to withdraw - tattos and all.

3) Not that anybody cares- execpt the mostly corrupt E-board and Staff- they get a respite from me for a few days until the end of the coming week - as I'll be out of com and getting an injection of history
